Mumbai: One dead, five injured after electrocution during Ganesh Chaturthi procession

A man died after coming in contact with a live electric wire when a procession was heading to immerse an idol of the deity Ganesh in Mumbai on Sunday morning, PTI reported.
Five others, including two minors, were injured in the incident that took place around 10.45 am on Khairani Road in Sakinaka, Kurla, The Hindu quoted the Sakinaka Police Station as saying.
Binu Sukumaran Kumaran, 36, was declared dead at Seven Hills Hospital, the newspaper reported.
The injured were identified as Subhanshu Kamat (20), Tushar Gupta (20), Dharmaraj Gupta (49), Karan Kanojia (14) and Anush Gupta (6).
They are undergoing treatment at another hospital and are said to be in stable condition, PTI reported.
