Queens Drive Club roars with Ferraris and Lamborghinis, shattering stereotypes

New Delhi: Luxury supercars roaring down the Gurgaon–Mumbai Expressway are not unusual. But this time, the spectacle was different. Behind the wheel were more than 50 women, steering Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, and McLarens, turning heads and breaking stereotypes at the same time.

On September 7, Queens Drive Club (QDC) held the 5th edition of its all-women supercar drive, better known as Queen’s Drive. What started a few years ago as a bold idea has now grown into a larger movement, putting women car enthusiasts and professionals at the centre of a space once dominated by men.

Supercars Meet Social Change

The event gathered over 150 high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals to celebrate women’s empowerment through driving. The convoy included some of the world’s most desirable machines; Ferrari 488s lined up next to Lamborghini Huracáns, Porsche 911s sharing space with McLaren 720Ss, while SUVs from brands like Bentley and Aston Martin added variety to the mix.

For many, it was not just about speed or luxury. It was about claiming space. Organisers stressed that the drive was both symbolic and practical, showing that women can take the wheel, not just as passengers, but as leaders.

Ritika Jatin Ahuja, COO of Big Boy Toyz and Founder of Queens Drive Club, hosted the event. She said Queens Drive Club was never just about speed or luxury but about courage, freedom, and rewriting the rules. She added that this year’s edition was focused on giving women the chance to experience something that once felt out of reach, the rush of a supercar at their fingertips and the freedom of making their own choices.

Beyond the Expressway

The initiative is now expanding beyond supercar rallies. In collaboration with Shanti Sahyog, an NGO founded by Gandhian scholar Dr. Suman Khanna Aggarwal, QDC pledged to train women in professional commercial driving in the coming months. The goal is to equip them with skills that open up livelihood opportunities, financial independence, and a sense of control over their own journeys.

Dr. Aggarwal said the collaboration is deeply personal, explaining that when women learn to drive, they learn to take charge of their lives. The NGO, which already works in Delhi’s underprivileged communities, will integrate driving into its education and vocational training programs.

Breaking Stereotypes with Horsepower

For years, India’s supercar scene has been male-centric, often reducing women to co-passengers in passenger seats. QDC’s approach is to flip that script. By hosting such drives, they are trying to show that taking control of the wheel is a powerful metaphor for independence.

Onlookers on the expressway saw rows of brightly coloured Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches thundering past toll booths with women at the helm. For many young girls watching from the roadside, it was a sight that quietly challenged long-standing stereotypes.

From Drive to Movement

What began as a small gathering in Delhi has now evolved into a nationwide initiative. In its fifth year, Queen’s Drive has shifted from being a glamorous outing to something bigger, a platform that brings luxury cars, empowerment, and social change into the same lane.
