2025 Ducati Multistrada V4, V4S launched: Here’s what’s new

Ducati has launched the updated 2025 Multistrada range in India with prices starting at Rs. 22.98 lakh for the base V4 variant and Rs 28.64 lakh (both exshowroom)for the topspec V4 S trim. The latest iteration of Ducati gets revised styling, hardware and feature updates as well as a few engine enhancements.

2025 Ducati Multistrada V4, V4S: Updated Styling & Comfort

The 2025 Multistrada V4 gets a restyled and a more aggressive front end featuring dualpod LED headlight which is highlighted by the new painted parts that completely frame it, taking inspiration from the 916 and 1098. The exhaust muffler now looks sharper and also emits out a different symphony. More than styling, Ducati has focussed more on improving the comfort of the Multistrada, both for the rider and the pillion, over long journeys.

For starters, the panniers and top case have been repositioned to create more legroom for the passenger. A newly designed diecast aluminium support for the top case enhances passenger comfort while providing a sturdier, more secure feel when the case is mounted. Additionally, with seats available in various heights for both rider and passenger, the Multistrada V4 S can be tailored to suit a wide range of rider–passenger combinations.

The Borgo Panigalebased brand has added a few features to the equipment of the new Multistrada. The tourer now comes with Ducati Cornering Lights that provides greater visibility when riding at night especially while leaning. Furthermore, the Multistrada V4 also comes equipped with a Coming Home function that allows the rider to leave the low beam headlight on for a few seconds after switching off the ignition.

The Multistrada V4 S was the first motorcycle to come loaded with a radarbased Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that offered adaptive cruise control. Now, the new model also adds a forward collision warning to the package. When it comes to safety, the Multistrada V4 gets a  new Ducati Brake Light now also activates the direction indicators to signal the danger more immediately to the vehicles following behind.

Speaking of safety, the Multistrada V4 gets a new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) function, derived from MotoGP expertise, that enhances the bike’s safety and efficiency by estimating ground forces and load conditions. Simulating data from 70 sensors, it refines the performance of ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC).

The Italian superbike maker has also updated the 6.5inch TFT instrument console with a refreshed interface. It seamlessly integrates map navigation via the Ducati Connect app, which also enables phone calls and music playback when paired with an intercomequipped helmet. Additionally, the controls for adjusting heated grips and seat levels have been redesigned for greater clarity and ease of use.

Powering the Multistrada V4 and V4S is the same 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine delivering 168 bhp and 123.8 Nm of peak torque which is now Euro 5+ compliant. This motor now gains an extended cylinder deactivation system that works even when the motorcycle is in motion, helping reduce fuel consumption by 6 percent compared to the outgoing model. 

An automatic lowering system has been introduced, reducing seat height by up to 30 mm at low speeds to improve maneuverability in city traffic and stopandgo conditions. Moreover, the Multistrada V4 is now available with five ride modes including a new Wet mode.

The V4 S variant is equipped with the latest Skyhook DSS EVO semiactive suspension, featuring predictive functions such as bump detection. It also incorporates a selflevelling system to ensure optimal balance when accommodating a passenger or luggage. The braking setup has been enhanced with new strategies that dynamically distribute power between the front and rear, adapting to load and rider input.
