What has Google done?

Google admitted there was a problem on its Workspace Status page at 11:07 a.m. PT (2:07 p.m. ET).

The company said that engineers were looking into it and promised to give more updates, but they also said that there is no official workaround yet, as per a report by CNET and Reuters.

Is there a way to join calls?

Some people found that switching to Safari or the Google Meet mobile app helped them for a short time, but there is no guarantee that this will work. Still, the outage made it impossible for thousands of other people to connect during important work calls.

Is Google Meet back after the service disruption?

Alphabet's Google announced on Monday that the outage affecting its video-communication service, Google Meet, has been resolved, as per a report by Reuters.

The company reported that customers were unable to join meet sessions due to slow user interface loads.

"From preliminary analysis, the root cause of the issue is a recent change in content edge cache," according to Google's status dashboard.

According to the company, the problem was fixed by undoing the modification.
