Punjab Kings insulted Chris Gayle, went into depression universe boss

West Indies former openerChris Gayle Has spoke openly about his IPL journey with Punjab Kings. He told how he was insulted while playing for Punjab in IPL. There was a time while playing for Punjab when Gayle went into depression and he himself revealed this.

Punjab Kings bought Chris Gayle for Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2018 mega auction and played for this franchise by 2021 by 2021. Recently, Gayle spoke openly about his tenure in Punjab and explained how he felt insulted, due to which his association with the team ended prematurely.

On the podcast of Shubhankar Mishra, Gayle said, “My IPL with Punjab ended before time. I was disrespectful in Kings XI. I felt that despite being a senior player, who did so much for the league and earned the value, I was not treated properly. He was treated like a child like a child. I felt for the first time, I felt that I was going to talk to the depletion. It was very hurt. I was disappointed with the way they and the franchise. But I just said, ‘I wish you all the best’, and packed my bag and went out. “

Gayle spent three good seasons with Punjab and his average remained above 40 for three consecutive seasons. However, his performance in the 2021 season was not much, where he scored 193 runs in ten innings and left the tournament in the middle citing ‘Bio Bubble Fatigue’. After this, Gayle did not register for the IPL 2022 mega auction due to misbehavior by Punjab Kings and never returned to play the tournament again. He ended his IPL career by scoring 4965 runs in 141 innings at an average of 39.72, including six centuries and 31 fifties.
