
Railtel share price: The stock of RailTel Corporation of India saw a tremendous rise on Tuesday. The share price saw more than 6% increase in early morning trade. Let us know that this sudden boom has come due to the big government order received from Bihar. The special thing is that this order has been received from the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC), which has been given for smart classes and digital education facilities in the state government schools.
RailTel informed the exchanges after the market closed on Monday evening that they have received many big orders from the Bihar Education Project Council. The total cost of these orders is more than Rs 700 crore. This order mainly includes smart classes, ICT lab, and teaching materials for classes 1 to 5. All these projects are for government secondary and higher secondary schools which have to be completed by 2025-2026.
Big order for smart class and digital lab
The largest part of these orders is that of smart classes. RailTel has received an order of Rs 262 crore to establish digital classes in schools in Bihar, whose work will have to be completed by March 2026. Apart from this, an order of more than Rs 44 crore has also been received for the supply and installation of ICT lab, which will have to be finished by March 2025. Along with this, an order of Rs 89 crore has also been received for the supply of teaching material for children from class 1 to 5.
RailTel has also received a separate order for the establishment of smart class and ISM lab, which is to be completed by December 2025. All these projects are to make government schools in Bihar digital and increase the standard of education.
Tremendous boom in Railtel's shares
The news of this big government order of RailTel increased the trust of investors and there was a tremendous jump in the price of the company's share. On Tuesday, RailTel shares opened at Rs 359.95 on BSE, which was about 4% more than Monday's closed price of 345.80. Then the price of this stock reached Rs 367.50 throughout the day, which led to a gain of about 6%.
