Match Highlights from September 8

On September 8, the Bengaluru Bulls and Patna Pirates both achieved victories against the Haryana Steelers and Puneri Paltan, respectively. In the first match, the Bulls triumphed over the Steelers, largely due to the outstanding performance of Iranian raider Alireza Mirzaian, who recorded his second consecutive Super 10. Additionally, the defensive efforts from Deepak Sankar and captain Yogesh were crucial to their success.

In Match 22 of PKL 2025, the Patna Pirates delivered a surprising 48–37 victory over the reigning champions, Puneri Paltan. Ayan Lohchab was the star of the match, scoring 21 points (17 from raids and 4 bonuses), effectively breaking through Puneri’s defense. Both teams were equal in raid points, each scoring 24, but Patna's defense, which secured 13 tackle points and executed a pivotal super raid, made the difference.
