
Building Collapse in Dhanbad
On Wednesday evening, a dilapidated structure in Dhanbad district, Jharkhand, collapsed following heavy rainfall, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including two children, as reported by an official.
The incident occurred in a quarter managed by BCCL, located under the jurisdiction of the Lodna police station.
According to the official, at least seven people were trapped under the debris after the building fell. Local residents, along with the assistance of an excavator, worked to rescue everyone from the rubble, transporting them to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gindoriya, the superintendent of SNMMCH, confirmed that seven individuals were admitted to the hospital. He stated, 'Three of them were declared dead, while four others are currently receiving treatment.'
