Concurrently, the AIADMK is facing internal strife as senior leader Sengottaiyan has issued a 10-day ultimatum to party chief Edappadi K. Palaniswami, advocating for the reintegration of expelled leaders. This has intensified the political discourse between the AIADMK and the ruling DMK. Additionally, actor Vijay's political debut and his promotional events have drawn criticism, with Dravidian parties and the BJP labeling him a 'weekend politician' for his campaign activities over the weekend.
