Reform UK's leader Nigel Farage has left TalkTV viewers enraged as he opened up about the possibility of working under Prime minister Keir Starmer. Despite currently leading in opposition, many accused the MP for Clacton of jumping ship to be closer to the United States. This comes after Starmer sacked Peter Mandelson from his role as Ambassador to the US after his close relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was exposed.

During the breaking news announcement on TalkTV, Farage phoned in and shared his expectation of who should step into the role. The politician said Mandelson should be replaced by "somebody of that type, who's got a good knowledge of current affairs, who knows about negotiations." Farage added: "Someone who can walk into the Oval Office and Trump can look him in the eye and say 'I can do business with this guy.'" This prompted the presenter, Alex Philips, to probe: "Might that describe you?" To which Farage admitted the prospects would be "very tempting," inviting a wave of backlash from viewers as one fumed: "Bored of being an MP already, is he? Grifter."

One person fumed: "Delusions of grandeur. @Nigel_Farage Farage as Ambassador. I can't stop laughing.

A second added: "So does that mean he would be willing to dump off Reform for a better offer?"

"And there you have it - the perfect out for him ... he hasn't the interest in taking Reform into No. 10. It's been clear from day 1," echoed one.

"Wow, so he's prepared to change his principles to get a job. As an ambassador, he is only there as a mouthpiece of the Labour Government and would have to further their goals and aims. Crazy," fumed another viewer.

After, the presenter probed: "If they did, would you take it, or are you committed to doing what you're doing back here?"

Farage laughed as he responded: "If I were Starmer, I would offer it to me because if I accepted it, it would get me out of the way, wouldn't it?"

"I don't think I possibly could, but it would be very tempting in terms of lifestyle," he concluded.
