Incident of Public Humiliation in Odisha
In Odisha, a teacher and another individual have been taken into custody by the police for allegedly parading the teacher's estranged wife and her male companion on the street due to suspicions of an extramarital affair. This information was disclosed by the police on Thursday.
The woman has reportedly been living separately from her husband for several years.
According to police reports, on Tuesday night, the 43-year-old teacher, accompanied by a friend, forcibly entered the home of his 37-year-old wife in the town of Nimapada and allegedly assaulted her.
The teacher claimed that his wife was involved with another man, which prompted him to physically confront her. However, both the wife and her male companion have denied these allegations.
