BPSC Exam: BPSC 71st Prelims tomorrow, if you arrive late, then you will not get entry; 5-year ban if you break the rules

BPSC Exam: BPSC 71st preliminary exam will be held on September 13 from 12 noon to 2 pm; the gates will be closed at 11 am. Mobiles, smartwatches, and electronic items are completely banned.

BPSC 71st Prelims Exam 2025: The time has come for the 71st preliminary examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). This exam will be held tomorrow i.e. on 13 September 2025. The exam will be held in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm. The commission has strictly advised the candidates to reach on time so that there is no problem.

BPSC has made it clear that the candidates should reach the examination center two and a half hours in advance. The gates will be closed at 11 am and after that entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. That is, even if a candidate reaches at 11:01, he will not get a chance to take the exam. Therefore, all the candidates are appealed to prepare in advance and reach the examination center on time.

Candidates must bring their e-admit card with them to take the exam. Along with this, an additional copy of the admit card will also be required, which the candidate will have to sign and hand over to the invigilator. Apart from this, it is necessary to bring the same photo ID mentioned in the admit card.

Barcode and photo-signature required on admit card

BPSC has said that candidates should ensure that the barcode is clearly printed on their e-admit card along with the roll number. Candidates whose photo or signature is not clear will have to submit additional documents at the examination center. For this, the Commission has made available a declaration form on its website, which will have to be filled and submitted at the examination center along with a color photo and certified signature.

What cannot be taken inside?

Many things are prohibited in the examination center. Things like mobile phones, Bluetooth, WiFi devices, smartwatches, normal watches, electronic pens, pagers, calculators are completely banned. Apart from this, materials like markers, white fluid, blades and erasers cannot be taken inside. If any candidate is found with such items, it will be considered as misconduct and strict action will be taken.

The examination process will be very strict

There will be videography of every stage from opening the seal of confidential material before the examination to the end. Especially the faces and activities of the candidates will be monitored. Candidates will be able to leave the examination hall only after the examination. However, the question booklet will be allowed to be taken with them.

5-year ban on misconduct

The commission has clearly said that if any candidate is found involved in misconduct, not only will his candidature for this examination be terminated, but he will also be barred from appearing in any BPSC examination for the next five years. If anyone is found guilty of spreading rumors, he will be banned for three years.

Negative marking

There will also be negative marking in the preliminary examination. One-third marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. If a candidate changes the answer using a marker, white fluid or eraser, then negative marking will be applied even if it is considered wrong.

Opportunity to lodge a complaint

If any candidate sees any problem related to the question paper or the exam, then they can lodge a complaint with an affidavit within 48 hours of the end of the exam. The commission has assured that all complaints will be investigated within 72 hours.
