Brain-Computer Interface: Scientists have developed a technology that can give command to the computer only by your thinking. This technique is called brain-computer interface. Under this, a person can control the equipment without thinking or without doing anything. This technique is proving to be a boon especially for those who are paralyzed or unable to listen. This technology is still in the developing phase. But in future it can change our everyday life completely.
Scientists at Stanford University tested technology
Brain-computer interface technology gives a revolutionary ability to control computer through thinking, which is proving to be a boon especially for the disabled. Scientists at Stanford University successfully tested this technique in an experiment recently. It installed electrodes in a person’s brain, which records the activities of neurons. When a person thinks something, special types of electrical signals are produced in the brain. The BCI sends the signal to the computer. Then it turns into an action. If someone thinks on the TV, then the computer understands that command and turns on the TV.
EEG is used in the process
In this process, EEG (electro -fifty) is often used, in which a special type of cap is worn on the head with sensors. This cap reads the signals emanating from the brain and converts them into a digital command.
Technology in early stages
However, the technology is still in its early stages and is not available to the common people. Still it is developing fast. Many companies and research labs of the world are working on it. Alan Musk’s company Nuraralink is particularly considered to be a leader in the region. They are working towards giving accurate command through small chips in the brain.
What will happen in future with technology?
In future, this technique will also be able to control robots, wheelchairs or home appliances without using hand or voice.
