Mayawati's Advice to Saints
On Saturday, Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), advised certain saints to remain silent regarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and to avoid making any comments. In a post on 'X', she stated, 'It is evident that some saints, who often make controversial statements to stay in the limelight, lack proper knowledge about Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's invaluable contributions to the Indian Constitution. Therefore, it would be appropriate for them to remain silent rather than make incorrect statements on this matter.'
She further questioned, 'Why do Baba Saheb's followers oppose Manusmriti? They should understand this by shedding the feelings of caste-based hatred.' Mayawati emphasized in her post that it is essential to recognize Baba Saheb as a great scholar and personality.
She concluded by stating that any saints making comments on this issue are not knowledgeable about his wisdom. Thus, it is wise for them to refrain from speaking on this topic, which is her sincere advice.' Although she did not mention any specific saint in her post, her message was clear.
