Low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains expected in these states, IMD alert issued

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains are expected in Chhattisgarh from 14 to 16 September. Continuous heavy rains are expected in Telangana from 14 to 17 September. At the same time, very heavy rains are expected in coastal Maharashtra on 14 and 15 September and in central Maharashtra on 15 September.

Around September 15, conditions will start becoming favorable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some parts of western Rajasthan.

According to the department, the rain will continue in many states of the country between September 14 and 19. Light to moderate rains may occur in West Madhya Pradesh from September 14 to 16, in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Odisha from September 13 to 15, and in Chhattisgarh from September 14 to 16 and heavy rains may occur at some places.

Very heavy rain likely in Bihar

Light to moderate rain is expected at most places and heavy rain at some places over Andaman-Nicobar Islands on 14 and 17 to 19 September, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 14 to 19 September, Bihar on 14 to 17 September and Jharkhand on 15 to 17 September. Very heavy rain is expected over Bihar between 14 and 16 September, especially in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 14 September.

Chances of rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with isolated heavy rains may occur at some places over Himachal Pradesh on September 14, Uttarakhand from September 14 to 16, North Punjab on September 13 and East Uttar Pradesh between September 15 to 19.

Apart from Tamil Nadu, there is a possibility of rain in these states

According to the IMD, light to moderate rain is expected at many places in Tamil Nadu during September 16 to 19, in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on September 14, in Telangana from September 14 to 17, and in northern interior Karnataka from September 14 to 16. During this period, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds (30-40 km / h) in these states along with heavy rains at some places.

Heavy rain alert in northeastern states

According to the department, light to moderate rains may occur at most places and heavy rains at some places in Arunachal Pradesh during September 14 to 18, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 14 to 16 and then on September 18-19. Out of these, very heavy rains are expected in Arunachal Pradesh from September 14 to 16, and in Assam and Meghalaya on September 14 and 15.
