AIIMS Delhi has its skills, education and training (SET) Center In state -of -the -art Da vinci surgical robot Has launched This technology will now be useful in training doctors and medical students for robotic surgery. The special thing is that this is the first government medical college in the country, where such advanced robots have been made available only for training. Earlier, doctors had to go abroad for such training and had to spend a large amount. Now AIIMS has started giving new direction to medical education by providing this facility in the country itself. This step is considered important towards strengthening health services and modern surgery technology. During training, students and doctors will be able to practice in a safe environment without pressure and will be able to give more accurate and safe treatment to patients in future.

This robot has been made available under the agreement by the Integrated Surgicals Company at SET Center in AIIMS Delhi. Earlier, Hugo training robot of Medtronic was present here. Now practical training will be possible on both platforms. In this facility, medical students, doctors, residents, nurses and healthcare professionals from across the country will be able to come and practice robotic surgery. Here training is imparted without stress through manicins, simulators and supervised sessions. Through new technology, doctors can be given modern training in many specialty fields like Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, Oncology, Head and Neck Surgery.

The aim of this is that doctors learn to work with advanced technology and provide less pain, rapid recovery and better results to patients in future. This step of AIIMS is considered a strong start towards adopting robotic surgery across the country.

Benefits from robotic training

Dr. M. Srinivas, director of AIIMS Said that through this training center, the institute is strengthening its leadership in surgical education and innovation. He says that the demand for accuracy techniques in India such as robotic-assisted surgery is increasing rapidly. Now doctors will not need to go abroad and take expensive training, because this facility is available here.

Dr. Amlesh Seth, Head of Urology Department of AIIMS Told that robotic surgery has changed the way of operation. This technique makes surgery more accurate, control and clear. Now experienced surgeons will guide new doctors here, which will give them experience of advanced techniques from the beginning.

Both patients and students will directly benefit from this. Patients will get safe and modern surgery facilities, while students will get training of minimally invasive techniques from the initial stages. This will increase their confidence, practice in the safe environment and the safety of patients will also be better.

There will be no need to go abroad

Till now Indian doctors and students had to go abroad for advanced training of robotic surgery. For this, we had to spend lakhs of rupees and also had to prepare for a long time. The establishment of the Vinci surgical robot in AIIMS Delhi has ended this major problem. Now doctors and students will get such training in the country, which will save both time and money. Also, more and more health workers will be able to take advantage of this facility. Experts believe that this initiative will give new height to medical education and will help in adopting modern surgery techniques across the country.
