Archana Puran Singh known for her infectious laughter and vibrant personality on The Great Indian Kapil Show recently opened up about her emotional journey on the Art of Living podcast. The ever-smiling Archana spoke candidly about her married life touching upon her childhood trauma and the challenges she has faced in her marriage with husband Parmeet Sethi. While discussing marriage Archana became emotional and shared Everyone says Archana ji and Parmeet ji are a perfect couple. But I ask what is a perfect couple? In her YouTube vlog the actress said An ideal couple is one that has overcome lifes challenges. We faced many difficulties in our marriage. We made mistakes in understanding each other—there were misunderstandings and ego clashes between us. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar helped us during those times. This helped Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethis marriage Crediting Art of Living Archana Puran Singh said about her childhood trauma When I did Sudarshan Kriya I suddenly found myself saying Mummy dont leave me. Mummy dont leave me. I wondered why I was saying this. When I returned I asked my mother. She told me that when I was 10 months old she went to Kolkata for 10 days and left me alone and till date my mother has left me alone only on that day. Maybe that separation from my mother stayed with me and even decades later I was still saying Mummy dont leave me. I have no answer as to why it happened but I know it happened. Seeing the impact of meditation on her life Archana asked Parmeet to attend the Art of Living course I called Parmeet and said ‘You must do this course.’ He asked me what I was talking about because at that time our relationship as husband and wife had become a little strained. I told him this is your best friend and it is the best gift you can give yourself. Parmeet soon attended a session in Bangalore which helped them reconnect. He told me that he saw me as the most beautiful woman even when we were fighting. That gave us the strength to see each other differently. After that we started talking again. We used to meditate together and practiced pranayama and Sudarshan Kriya every day. It has been 33 years to Parmeet and Archanas marriage. They have two sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamann.
