Urvashi rauetela summoned by ed:
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela and Bengali MP Mimi Chakraborty, furthering the investigation in the ongoing illegal online betting app in India. Both these celebrities have been called at the ED’s Delhi headquarters for questioning to find out how they propagated these apps and what they got in return. Mimi Chakraborty will have to appear before the ED on 15 September and Urvashi Rautela on 16 September.
After all, what is the whole matter?
ED investigation has revealed that many online betting platforms, including big names like 1xbet, are running their business illegally in India. These apps directly promote betting, which are completely banned under Indian law. For the promotion of these apps, companies use many well-known personalities so that they can reach the common people.
The investigating agency believes that Urvashi Rautela and Mimi Chakraborty have promoted these apps. But the ED wants to know why he promoted these apps, did he get a huge fee for this. Due to the name of these two, there has been a sharp stir in the politics of Bollywood and Bengal.
Many names have come before in the illegal betting app case
This case is not new, even before this, ED has questioned many Bollywood and cricket celebrities, including Sonu Sood, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina.
According to the ED, these apps initially present themselves as a skill based gaming, but in fact their algorithm is filled with fraud. These apps reach people despite being completely banned.
Mm and Urvashi may increase difficulties
Now Mimi Chakraborty and Urvashi Rautela will have to answer the questions of the investigating agency. The case has become more serious due to the name of both. Mimi Chakravarti and Urvashi Rautela will have to appear before the ED and answer questions. In the end, they have to prove that they have no relation with the illegal operation of these apps. If the ED does not find their answers satisfactory, then further legal action can be taken against them. This case is not only a big challenge for these two actresses, but it is also a warning for all celebrities that propagate any online platform in a big way without thinking.
