Hollywood legend Robert Redford passes away at 89

Hollywood has lost one of its most celebrated figures as veteran actor and director Robert Redford passed away at the age of 89.

Born in August 1936 in Santa Monica, California, Redford was the son of a milkman who later worked as an accountant at an oil company. His humble beginnings shaped his early life before he ventured into the world of cinema.

Redford’s screen career began with a minor role in the 1960 film Tall Story, where he shared the set with acclaimed actress Jane Fonda. Although his first appearance was brief, it paved the way for a remarkable journey in Hollywood.

By the 1960s and 70s, Redford had risen to global fame, captivating audiences with his talent and charm. Over the course of his career, he starred in more than 50 films, leaving behind a legacy of iconic performances that cemented his place among Hollywood’s greatest stars.
