Logistics tech platform Blackbuck co-founder Rajesh Yabaji said in a post on X that the company has decided to shift its office from Bengaluru’s Bellandur in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) due to increasing traffic and poor road conditions.
“ORR (Bellandur) has been our “office + home” for the last 9 years. But it’s now very-very hard to continue here. We have decided to move out,” his post said.
He added that the average commute time for his colleagues has increased to over 90 minutes one way, roads are filled with potholes and dust, and the decision comes as they don’t see this changing in the next five years.

The post quickly got the attention of a lot of corporate employees in Bengaluru who could relate to his challenges. The ORR stretch and Bellandur has offices of several tech companies and startups including Flipkart, Swiggy, Myntra, Meesho, Microsoft, and Intel, among others.
Bellandur is also infamous for monsoon flooding and accidents.
ET wrote in July that Bengaluru’s average one-way commute time has jumped 16% in just one year. From 54 minutes in 2024, today it takes 63 minutes to travel an average distance of 19 km, according to a report by MoveinSync, an employee commute platform.
The report highlighted that areas around HAL-Old Airport Road Junction, Doddanekkundi, Haralur, and Marathahalli are the most accident-prone zones in Bengaluru. It also mentioned 8-10 pm as the peak accident window.
Yabaji’s post comes at a time when a school bus carrying students almost toppled on Panathur-Balagere Road last week due to poor road conditions. In fact, on the same day, two other such incidents occurred on the same road, according to a Times of India report.
