Prevention of tuberculosis: The network of many diseases is spread around the world, which can come to cancer, diabetes and TB. Along with working on their diagnosis, there have been cases of diseases. A new study has come out from a recent research on TB i.e. tuberculosis disease. According to this, in place of the currently used spit test, soon the tuberculosis will be possible with a simple tongue swab. That is, the mouth swab will be taken to test for TB check. Know about the study in detail.
University gave information
Researchers at the University of Tullen, USA, said that the community-based screening of the world’s most deadly infectious disease can be easier by using advanced CRISPR-based technology. Apart from this, Jane Huang, assistant professor and leading writer at Tulen’s School of Medicine, said that a practical tuberculosis tongue Swab test can benefit communities with lower resources.
Know how the study will be
In the study here, Professor Huang further said, “Tung (tongue) swabs are painless, they are easy to collect, and it does not require trained medical staff. This opens the way of screening on a large scale.” In addition, the current TB test is dependent on spit, which is a mucus collected from the lungs and lower respiratory tract.
Know how to investigate
According to the new study, the new investigation stated that, the current TB test is dependent on spit, which is a mucus collected from the lungs and lower respiratory tract. The study published in Nature Communications magazine attempted to reduce the gap of earlier CRISPR-based tests. It is being told that the new RISPR method called ActCRISPR-TB helped to understand genetic signs from DNA of TB bacteria. This provided a streamlined approach to diagnose in less than an hour.
Where clinical testing showed that TB from tongue swab is easier to detect compared to traditional testing. Earlier, where its rate was 56 percent, now it has increased to 74 percent. It is being reported that this test has achieved great success in detecting TB from respiratory (93 percent), pediatric stool (83 percent), and adult spinal fluid samples (93 percent).
