Former Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra will look to create history when he steps out to defend his men’s javelin title at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo on Thursday. Neeraj will be up against Paris Olympics champion Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan. This is the first time Neeraj Chopra will face off against long-term rival Arshad Nadeem after Paris Olympics and also after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ in reply to the Pahalgam terrorist attack which led to loss of 26 lives.
