Team India are in a position where they can opt for some major changes ahead of more important Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2025 beginning with a clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday. Suryakumar Yadav’s side have already booked their place in the next stage with back-to-back wins over UAE and Pakistan last week. Their third and final Group A match is against minnows Oman who have not managed to win their last 7 T20I matches. One big change that Team India will surely opt for is resting Jasprit Bumrah going by his workload management schedule. Bumrah only played in three out of the five Test in the ‘Tendulkar Anderson Trophy’ series against England. The Mumbai Indians pacer bowled 7 overs in his first two matches of the Asia Cup 2025 and will get much-deserved rest for the match against Oman. Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh who was expected to start in the Asia Cup line-up will surely return to the side. Arshdeep needs only one wicket to become first Indian bowler to claim 100 T20I scalps. Along with Arshdeep Team India may also give a game to Harshit Rana against Oman. To accommodate the Kolkata Knight Riders pacers either Kuldeep Yadav or Varun Chakravarthy will be missing out from Friday’s line-up. India may also look to give some batting game time to wicketkeeper Sanju Samson who had to sacrifice his opening position to Shubman Gill after his return to the T20I side. While Indians may not want to tinker with successful opening combination of Gill and world No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma Samson may be sent up to No. 3 position after failing to bat in the first two games in the Asia Cup 2025. India vs Oman Asia Cup 2025 Predicted Playing 11 India: Abhishek Sharma Shubman Gill Sanju Samson (wk) Suryakumar Yadav (c) Tilak Varma Shivam Dube Hardik Pandya Axar Patel Harshit Rana Arshdeep Singh Kuldeep Yadav/Varun Chakravarthy Oman: Jatinder Singh (c) Aamir Kaleem Hammad Mirza Wasim Ali Aryan Bisht Vinayak Shukla (wk) Jiten Ramamnandi Shah Faisal Shakeel Ahmed Hassnain Shah Samay Shrivastava
