According to North East News, the singer was enjoying scuba diving in Singapore when he fell into the sea. He was rescued and admitted to the ICU, where he later died. The singer was scheduled to perform at the North East Festival in Singapore today.

About Zubeen Garg

Born in Meghalaya in 1972, Zubeen was an Assamese singer whose real name was Zubeen Borthakur. He adopted his stage name in the 1990s, replacing his last name with his gotra, Garg. In 2006, he sang the song "Ya Ali" from the film "Gangster."
