Domestic LPG cylinder price change?

There was no change in the tax slab of the domestic LPG cylinder at the GST Council meeting held on 3 September. That is, despite the new GST rates to be implemented from 22 September, the rate of GST on domestic cylinders will remain 5%. Whether it is a subsidized cylinder or a subsidy, there will be no change on both. This means that you have to pay the same old price for the cylinder. The price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 853.

What will be the effect on commercial cylinders?

At the same time, if we talk about commercial LPG cylinder, then it is currently on 18% GST. These cylinders are used in hotels, dhabas, restaurants and industrial heating. The GST Council has not made any changes in the tax slab of these cylinders. That is, the price of commercial cylinders will remain the same even after 22 September. The 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is currently priced at Rs 1580.
