Bruno Fernandes set another personal record as he opened the scoring for Manchester United in its Premier League clash against Chelsea, at the Old Trafford Stadium on Saturday.
The Portuguese playmaker received a headed cross from Patrick Dorgu and struck past Filip Jorgensen to break the deadlock in the 14th minute. The strike, after a VAR check, was given to the Red Devils. It was Dorgu’s first goal contribution for United while for Fernandes, it was his 100th goal for the club in all competitions.
He became the 19th player to reach that milestone for the club, getting on a list that has club legends like the Holy Trinity of United — Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law and George Best — and modern-day greats like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Though Amorim had claimed that ‘good days were coming’, the club has lost to fourth division side, Grimsby Town in the League Cup and the manager remains under pressure with just one win in the Premier League so far.
