TK Maxx shoppers have been issued an urgent warning as a brand of chocolate biscuits sold in the store is being recalled due to potential health risks. TJX Europe is recalling Les Florentins Chocolat Biscuits, as they contain gluten not mentioned on the label.
This can pose a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease or an intolerance to gluten. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling these biscuits, explaining why the products are being recalled and advising customers on what to do if they have purchased them.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is advising anyone who has bought the biscuits and has an allergy or intolerance to gluten, to not consume them, ChrinicleLive reports.
Instead, customers are being asked to return them to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a refund or replacement.
