Buckwheat is gluten free and contains nutrients like vitamin-B, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, calcium and folate. This is the reason that it is also said to be beneficial for diabetes patients. But, if it is consumed excessively or wrongly, it can also cause serious harm to health.
Eating Kuttu can cause these problems
Due to excess of dietary fiber, kuttu flour can cause stomach problems in some people. Problems like gas, abdominal pain, indigestion and stomach heaviness are common in it. At the same time, people struggling with Irritable Bowell Syndrome (IBS) should avoid eating things made from Kuttu, otherwise the torsion and digestive problems may increase.
Many times eating more quantity of kuttu flour can also cause food poisoning or stomach infection. Apart from this, the phosphorus present in it can put pressure on the kidney. At the same time, some people may also have problems with skin allergies like itching, rashes and rash.
How much and when to consume?
According to health experts, you should avoid consuming kuttu daily. Apart from fasting, it is better to eat only 5–6 times a month. If you feel any kind of allergy or trouble, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Be careful with adulterated dough
There is also a lot of adulterated flour of Kuttu in the market. While buying it, check the packing and expiry date. Avoid buying open or stale flour, as it can be harmful to health.
