Serious questions raised on Chief Minister’s Health Scheme

Chandigarh: All India Congress Committee Secretary and MLA Padmashree Pargat Singh has raised many questions regarding this, welcoming the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme of the Punjab Government. He asked the government how the health insurance of 3 crore citizens of the state will be and what will be the source of money for this. The provisions made by the government for this scheme in the budget, how and where the installments of it will be given. He also said whether the people of Punjab are cheating on this scheme like other free schemes or they will really get its benefit. Earlier, people did not get the benefit of Sarbat Da Bhala Health Scheme.

The government’s economic condition is already bad. Punjab has a debt of millions of crores of rupees, which is continuously increasing. The government infrastructure has also been destroyed. Punjab Roadways and PRTC buses owe 11-12 hundred crore rupees for women’s free travel. Panbus and PRTC have less than 3 thousand government buses, while the state needs 10 thousand buses.

Pargat Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is now planning to meet its expenses by selling government lands of the state. The government has decided to sell 8 acres of print press colony in Patiala, 10 acres of print press site, 2.27 acres of veterinary hospital of Ludhiana, 89 acres of Tarn Taran and 1.75 acres of PWD Guest House of Gurdaspur. In such a situation, how appropriate it is to provide free facilities.

Pargat Singh has condemned the consent of the Aam Aadmi Party government on the deduction of 11 lakh beneficiaries. He described it as a shameful deception with the poor citizens of the state. By cutting 11 lakh beneficiaries from the free ration scheme under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the AAP government has bowed to the pressure of the BJP government at the Center.

He said that the government had promised the poor that no ration card would be deducted. Now he has surrendered to the BJP. This step is condemnable and this makes the collusion between the AAP government and the BJP government at the Center.
