Dhamtari gift of development work of Rs 246 crore
Chhattisgarh news: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will dedicate the mother power to 51 Mahatari houses in the state level Mahtari Sadan Lakarpan program held at village Karelibri in Dhamtari district on 23 September. On this occasion, Chief Minister will also inaugurate development and construction works costing 245 crore 80 lakh to Dhamtari district. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and Vijay Sharma, Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Minister Tankaram Verma will be the most special guests in the program organized on the occasion. MPs Roop Kumari Chaudhary and Bhojraj Nag, MLA Ajay Chandrakar, District Panchayat President Arun Sarwa, District President Virendra Kumar Sahu will be present as special guests in the program.
Karelibari is the village of Kurud assembly constituency in Dhamtari district. Under the Mahtari Sadan Construction Scheme in Dhamtari district, 4 Mahtari Houses have been constructed in Gram Panchayat Bhandri, Medha, Kharga and Karelibri respectively. It is worth mentioning here that the Chhattisgarh government is constructing the Mahtari Sadan in Gram Panchayats for the purpose of making rural women self -reliant and self -reliant and establishing mutual harmony, collective participation in timely programs and women empowerment. A total of Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned for a total of 202 Mahtari Sadan under the year 2024-25 in the first phase under this scheme of construction of Mahtari Sadan. The cost of each Mahtari Sadan to be constructed in about 2500 sq ft is Rs 24.70 lakh, from which a hall, room, kitchen, store, shop, Baudriwal, toilet and borewell have been constructed in each Mahtari Sadan.
The inauguration program of the Mahtari Sadan will include 2 lakh members of the women’s self-help group of Chhattisgarh state virtually. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self -reliant Bharat Abhiyan is being constructed rapidly in the Gram Panchayats Mahtari Sadan in the state of Chhattisgarh with the aim of connecting the capacity of women with the development of the country. Under this scheme, in the second phase of the state, the Government of Chhattisgarh has approved Rs 50 crore for a total of 166 Mahtari Sadan under the year 2025-26. The cost of each Mahtari Sadan to be constructed in the second phase is Rs 30 lakhs.
