A mystery man will arrive in Emmerdale and nobody has more questions than Victoria Sugden. Viewers will know that there's been a will they?/won't they? with Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle ever since he's been back from prison, Robert has done nothing other than make it clear he wants to rekindle. So when Victoria walks in to discover a mystery man, alarm bells are ringing and questions are raised. Last week, viewers saw Robert receive a mystery text.

To add further pieces to the puzzle, this week there is a mystery man in the village, asking for directions, and when he finds what he's looking for, it's quite the shock. Robert is left too stunned to answer the door when he sees a familiar face, but who is the blast from the past?

Robert, after checking that nobody is watching, lets the mystery man in and it's soon clear that he is an acquaintance from prison.

But when his sister Victoria walks in and sees Robert holding hands with a man who isn't Aaron - despite his protests that he wants to reunite with him - she's left confused. Immediately, Robert knows he's in for a grilling from his sister.

Aaron and Rob's love story just exploded for all to see, after Aaron's world "imploded" as he discovered that John murdered Nate and then tried to endanger Aaron's life and the blame on Rob, but now things are going to take another turn.

Fans of the soap have expressed their love for Rob and Aaron and are eagerly awaiting their reunion, so this is just set to put another spanner in the works.

It's all far from over, because alongside Robert's unexpected visitor, fans are now also worried for his safety after John made a run for it.

Despite significant police activity throughout the village and an active manhunt, he made it into the village without being seen. He was observing Robert and Victoria as the siblings embraced. Robert assured his sister he was "going nowhere", but John was watching them.

At the time, one user wrote: "They made a huge point of pointing out that Robert is the only one John actually hates. I legitimately think John is going to try to kill Robert now. He couldn't frame Robert or kill Aaron to take him away from him, and now he's going to try to kill Robert."
