SBI Life Insurance, in partnership with BCCI, used the India Women’s Cricket Team to promote breast cancer awareness through the Thanks-A-Dot initiative. Players wore special pink jerseys during the ODI against Australia to highlight the importance of breast self-examination and early detection.
The initiative, supported by actress and cancer survivor Mahima Chaudhry, also includes Project Hug of Life, using 3D lumps on hot water bags to educate women on self-checks. During the match, every 50 dot balls triggered the distribution of breast self-exam kits to 200 underprivileged women.
By integrating health awareness with cricket, SBI Life aims to inspire women to take proactive steps for breast health while reinforcing its commitment to protection and well-being under the philosophy “Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye.”
