Microsoft Office became the option of Zoho

So far most of the people use Microsoft Office for works like document, spreadsheet and presentation. But now the minister has made it clear that he will use the Indian platform Zoho for these works and has made the same appeal to the people.

What is Zoho and how does it work?

Zoho Corporation was founded in 1996 by Sridhar Vembu and Tony Thomas. The company is the Chennai based software-e-e-survis (SAAS) company. The company has over 55 cloud-based tools, including business email, accounting, HR, CRM, project management and other software.
Although the company is also headquartered in the US, its operation runs from rural areas of Tamil Nadu in India.

Major apps and services of zoho

ZOHO provides many productivity tools to its users. It includes apps like Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, Zoho Mail, Work Drive, Notebook, Meeting and Calendar. These apps are using small and medium level business to large corporates.

Is Zoho free or paid?

Some services of Zoho are absolutely free. For example – free edition of Zoho CRM can be used for three users. For the rest of the application, subscription has to be taken. However, its paid plans are also considered quite economical and are much cheaper than foreign options like Microsoft.

PM Modi’s emphasis on indigenous products

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed the country and said that we should remove foreign goods from our lives and adopt Made in India products. He also said that many foreign goods have become part of our lives and we do not even know whether they are Indians or foreigners. This is the reason why the government and ministers are appealing to adopt indigenous software and hardware.
