Chief Minister's Initiative for Farmers

Bhopal, Sep 24: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to transfer a substantial bonus of ₹337.12 crore directly into the accounts of 6.69 lakh paddy farmers with a single click during a ceremony in Balaghat on Wednesday.

This financial assistance is part of the state government's farmer welfare initiative, which allocates ₹4,000 per hectare to farmers who sell paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The event will take place at the Agricultural Produce Market in Katangi, a town located in the tribal-dominated Balaghat district, where a significant turnout of farmers and youth is expected.

In addition to the bonus distribution, the Chief Minister will hand out appointment letters to 4,315 young individuals and will inaugurate and lay the foundation for 75 development projects valued at ₹244 crore in the Balaghat area.

Following the Balaghat event, CM Yadav will travel to Jabalpur before heading to New Delhi at 5 p.m., marking his third consecutive day in the capital.

On Tuesday, during his visit to New Delhi, he attended a high-level meeting focused on state interests, engaging with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

He highlighted Madhya Pradesh's advancements in water conservation and management, emphasizing the establishment of robust irrigation systems that ensure water access for every household.

During the meeting, he sought comprehensive support from the Central government for initiatives aimed at enhancing water prosperity in Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, CM Yadav met with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to discuss pressing agricultural issues in the state.

He also had an in-depth conversation with Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, presenting plans to increase the reservation quota for OBC candidates from 14% to 27% in state government job recruitments.
