The mere mention of chaat makes anyone's mouth water. However, most chaats are loaded with oil, spices, and fried foods, which can be detrimental to health. In this context, we're going to tell you about a chaat that's both delicious and healthy. We're talking about sabudana chaat, which is prepared without oil or heavy spices. It boasts mild spices, fresh herbs, and the freshness of lemon. It's not only light on the stomach but also provides energy. The special thing is that you can eat it even during fasting days, as sabudana is allowed during fasting. Navratri has already begun, so it's time to enjoy it. Sabudana is rich in carbohydrates and provides quick energy. It's a favorite among everyone, from children to adults. Furthermore, it doesn't take much time to prepare.

Ingredients

Sabudana – 1 cup
Boiled potatoes – 2 medium-sized
Green chilies – 2 finely chopped
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons, chopped
Lemon – 1 large
Rock salt – to taste
Roasted peanuts – 2 tablespoons (coarsely ground)
Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Pomegranate seeds – 2 tablespoons

Recipe

- Before making the chaat, it's important to soak the sago thoroughly.
- For this, wash 1 cup of sago and soak it in water for 4-5 hours.
- Add enough water so that the sago is just submerged; adding too much water will make it sticky.
- After soaking, it will puff up like pearls and become soft.
- Put the soaked sago in a sieve and drain the excess water.
- Cut the boiled potatoes into small pieces.

- Add sago, potatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves, and peanuts to a large bowl.
- Add rock salt or regular salt and cumin powder and mix well.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the mixture and mix gently.
- If desired, add pomegranate seeds to make it more colorful and healthy.
