Iced tea is not only a great option for quenching thirst but it also works to give energy and relax the body. Whether it is a party with friends, spending time with family or enjoying a cold drink alone, iced tea is always considered a perfect choice.
- 3- 4 cup Water
- 2 to 3 spoon Tea leaf
- 1 – 2 spoon Lemon juice
- As required Snowfall
- 3- 4 Mint leaves For decoration
Step 1: Boil water
-
First of all, add about 4 cups of water in a medium pot. Turn on the gas on high heat and boil the water well. When bubbles start coming in the water and steam starts, it is ready to make tea.
Step 2: Pour tea leaf
-
As soon as the water boils, turn off the gas. Now add 4 to 5 teaspoons of tea leaves to it. If you like hard tea, then add 5 teaspoons, and like light, then 4 teaspoons are enough. After adding tea leaves, cover the vessel.
Step 3: Leave the tea covered
-
Cover the tea for 5–7 minutes and leave it. During this time, the tea leaves its full taste and color in the leaf water. Keep in mind, do not leave the tea for a long time or else it may taste bitter.
Step 4: filtering tea
-
Now with the help of a sieve, filter the tea in a big jug or bowl and throw the tea leaf. Add sugar to taste and mix well. After this, let the tea cool completely. You can cool it on the counter or place it in the fridge to cool quickly.
Step 5: Pour lemon juice
-
When the tea becomes completely cold, add 1-2 lemon juice to it. Lemon gives the tea a sour-sweet and fresh taste. After adding lemon, stir well once again and taste the ratio of sugar or lemon by tasting.
Step 6: Serving
-
Now your iced tea is ready. Put ice pieces in the glass and fill the cold tea over it. If you want for decoration, you can add mint leaves and lemon slices. This will make the taste even more fresh and fun.
- Always use fresh and good quality tea leaf while making iced tea. This makes both the taste and color of tea the best.
- Do not boil the tea for a long time, otherwise its taste may be bitter. Turn off the gas only when it comes to a slight boil.
- If you like sweet iced tea, then mix the sugar in hot tea so that it dissolves well. If you want, you can also use honey or jaggery for healthy options.
- Always add lemon juice or flavor syrup after the tea is cold, otherwise it can change its taste.
- Instead of putting ice directly to cool the iced tea, first cool it into the fridge. This keeps the taste even better and the drink is not thinner quickly.
- Garnish by adding mint leaves, lemon slices or orange pieces while serving. This will not only make the iced tea delicious but will also look attractive.
- If you want to try a separate flavor, then you can make new experiments by adding herbs, ginger or fruit syrup in iced tea.
