
Lucknow. The Yogi government of UP has given great relief to the passengers. The government has announced a reduction of up to 10 percent of the fares of AC buses of roadways. This decision will be applicable to many services run by the State Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). The government believes that this step will provide more affordable and comfortable travel facilities to passengers.

Know which buses will be discounted?
This exemption will apply to roadways Janrath, Pink, Shatabdi, Volvo and AC sleeper bus services. That is, passengers who travel in these buses will have to pay less than normal. However, the government has made it clear that this exemption will not be applicable to registered AC buses after 1 January 2024.
How long will you get benefit?
According to the statement issued by the government, this exemption will continue till next order. That is, passengers will continue to get this benefit at the moment. This decision to cut fare has been taken with the aim of attracting passengers and making roadways services more popular.

Transport Minister (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that this decision is a step towards providing better and cheap services to passengers. He stressed that the priority of the government is to provide convenience and comfort to the public.

The minister has also issued special instructions for bus drivers and conductors. He said that special counseling will be given to employees so that they can be motivated to attract passengers. This will not negatively affect the income of the corporation and more passengers will be able to avail bus services.
