Bareilly. The situation remained quite tense after the uproar on 26 September in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, a delegation of several MPs, including Samajwadi Party Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, was going to go to Bareilly today but was stopped before going there. Mata Prasad Pandey has been arrested. Along with this, a large number of police forces have been deployed at his residence. During this, he has targeted the BJP government while talking to the media. He said that the administration does not want to let us go there to hide its shortcomings.

Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey said that, the local police has given him a notice, in which he has been instructed to stay at home and not go to Bareilly. A delegation under my leadership was going there (Bareilly). He said that if the letter had written the letter, I would have accepted it. Then, a letter from Bareilly DM has come. He also said that your arrival will spoil the atmosphere here, so you should not come here. He further said that, to hide their shortcomings, they are not letting us go there. Now we will talk to our party members and decide accordingly.

At the same time, SP MP Ziaurrahman Burke was also stopped from going to Bareilly. Regarding this, he said that people are getting unfair to people in Bareilly, they are also citizens of the country. He questioned that, if the situation is normal then why is the situation being stopped? ‘What does the police administration want to hide in Bareilly’
