The Italian Superbike brand Ducati is ready to bring his famous adventure bike DesertX to a new incarnation. Recently, the bike appeared in the chamoflaz during testing, from which its design and major changes in the engine have been revealed. The company has now offered a new and light 890CC V2 engine instead of the old 937CC Testastretta engine, which is not only more powerful but also more fuel efficient.

New 890cc v2 engine
The 890CC V2 engine used in Ducati Deserttx 2025 is more dynamic and efficient than before. The same engine is offered in Multistrada V2, where it produces 115.6 BHP power and 92.1 NM torque. Compared to the current Deserttx, this engine is 5 BHP more powerful and about 5.8 kg lightweight. This will improve the handling of the bike, off-road performance and high-speed cruise capabilities. DuCati has also worked on new chassis and frame design for this model, making it feel more balanced and lightweight.
Small changes in design
The total design of the new Desertx will remain the same as the old model, but some small updates make it even stylish. The tail section has been re -designed, making it look more sporty and modern. The new swingarm provides this bike to a good stabilization and also reduces weight. Ducati has now given a tall windscreen, keeping the Front Twin-Haullamp setup, making it more open to its adventure look. Also, the riding position and seat design are also likely to be made, which will provide more relief during long travel and off-road riding.

Launch timeline and potential price
The new Ducati DesertX is currently in the testing stage and is likely to be between the EICMA show at the end of the Global Debue 2025. In India, this bike may be launched in early 2026. The current desserttx costs Rs 17.9 lakh, while the new model is expected to cost between 18 and 19 lakh.
The Indian market will have premium adventure bikes like TRIUMPH Tiger 900, BMW F 850 GS, and Honda Africa Twin.
