American singer D4vd has been facing massive public backlash after the body of a teenager was found in a car registered to him. The body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been missing since 2024, was found in his car on September 8, 2025. The Tesla had not been reported stolen.
In September, the singer landed in a big trouble after his Tesla was towed from Hollywood Hills to a lot in Los Angeles after workers complained of a foul smell. After Celesta Rivas was found in the trunk of his abandoned Tesla, cops launched an investigation and even carried out searches at the Hollywood Hills place where the singer was staying. Reportedly, the cops have collected evidence from that house.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body. RHD (Robbery-homicide division) is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.”
Celeste Rivas had been missing since last year, and numerous individuals—including D4vd's neighbors—reported that Celeste was living with him in his rented Hollywood Hills apartment. Friends of D4vd mentioned that they had assumed the two were a couple, unaware that Rivas was actually a minor.

D4vd has not made any public statement regarding the controversy, yet all of his scheduled shows were canceled. Meanwhile, his parents were swatted in Texas, and his Hollywood Hills apartment was raided.
Authorities have not disclosed what evidence, if any, was recovered from D4vd, nor whether they have enough to prove that he was in a relationship with Celeste or that he knew she was a minor. Notably, D4vd’s Tesla received a ticket 11 days before Celeste’s body was discovered, and it is believed she may have died around that time, although the cause of death has not been confirmed.
