Orange alert in eight districts

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains and hailstorm in eight districts of Uttarakhand. Orange alert has been issued in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Tehri and parts of Haridwar. In these areas, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. If you are in these places, then check the weather condition before exiting, so that there is no damage to the crops or property.

Yellow alert in the rest of the districts

Yellow alert of rain and strong winds continues in the remaining five districts of the state. Overall, till October 8, the weather will be a bit impaired. After the humid heat in the low -lying areas, the cool will now feel, but due to heavy rains, the roads can be slippery. If you are driving, take special care.

Meteorological Department Warning

Meteorological Center Director CS Tomar said that due to low pressure, there will be a period of heavy rains in Uttarakhand till October 8. Especially on October 6 and 7, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in most areas. Snowfall can also intensify in high altitude areas.
