
New Delhi, 25 February. Budget Airlines Indigo will start operating the large-sized Boeing 787-9 aircraft leased on the Delhi-Bankalk route from March 1. Apart from this, the company will continue to search for opportunities to lease more aircraft for operations.
IndiGo said in a statement released on Tuesday that it would operate daily flights with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the Delhi-Bankalk route from March 1, 2025. The company said that the aircraft will have 56 Indigo Stretch seats and 282 economy class seats. The airline said that big aircraft, big plans, we are flying even more with our absolutely new wide-bodies aircraft, which will now fly from Delhi to Bangkok.
The airline said that IndiGo will continue the search for opportunities for the contract of additional aircraft. The company said that to meet the rising air traffic demand, the airline has temporarily included a Boeing 787-9 aircraft from Norse Atlantic before taking delivery of A321 XLR, and A350 delivery.
