Cashify Trims Loss By 80% To INR 11 Cr In FY25

Recommerce startup Cashify trimmed its net loss 80% to INR 10.6 Cr in the financial year 2024-25 (FY25)  from INR 53.3 Cr in the previous fiscal year on the back of a notable uptick in its top line as well as improvement in its margins.

The startup posted an operating revenue of INR 1,095.9 Cr during the year under review, an increase of 17% from INR 935.1 Cr in FY24.

Besides generating revenue from selling refurbished products, it also earns by providing repairing services for the second hand devices sold on its platform. Both of these revenue streams almost contribute almost equally to the startup’s top line in the fiscal year. It earned INR 999 Cr by selling refurbished products and INR 855.6 Cr from sale of services.

Including other income of INR 26.4 Cr, Cashify earned a total revenue of INR 1,122.3 Cr in FY25, up 17.5% from INR 954.8 Cr in the previous fiscal year.

Founded in 2013 by Mandeep Manocha, Nakul Kumar, Amit Sethi and Siddhant Dhingra, Cashify offers an ecommerce marketplace that offers an online platform to sell old or used electronic gadgets like smartphones, laptops, tablets and gaming consoles.

The startup last raised a total funding of over INR 52 Cr from ecommerce giant Amazon and venture fund Blume Ventures as part of its extended Series E round in 2022. It counts the likes of Amazon, Prosus, NewQuest Capital Partners, Bessemer, Blume Ventures and Olympus Capital among its backers.

Zooming Into Cashify’s Expenses

With a surge in its revenue, the recommerce’s total spends surged 12% to INR 1,132.9 Cr in the year under review from INR 1,008.1 Cr in FY24.

Procurement Cost: These expenditures increased 45% to INR 1,037.1 Cr in FY25 from INR 714.5 Cr in the previous year.

Employee Benefits Expense: These expenses stood at INR 121.7 Cr in FY25, down marginally from INR 122.8 Cr in FY24.

Marketing Expense: Cashify’s marketing expense also remained flat, reporting INR 30.2 Cr in the year under review against INR 30.3 Cr in the previous year.
