Sunny sanskari ki tulsi kumari box office collection: Romantic comedy Sunny sanskari ki tulsi kumaristarring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, has crossed the Rs 30 crore mark at the domestic box office within four days of its release. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, hit theatres on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti.

The film opened alongside Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, which has taken the box office by storm with massive collections. Despite the clash, Sunny sanskari ki tulsi kumari has managed to hold its ground, showing steady growth over the extended weekend.

According to data from Sacnilk, the film opened with Rs 9.25 crore on Thursday (October 2). The advance bookings had indicated an opening in the range of Rs 8–10 crore, matching industry expectations. Although the film witnessed a dip on Friday, earning Rs 5.5 crore, it regained momentum over the weekend with Rs 7.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.75 crore on Sunday. This brought its total domestic collection to approximately Rs 30 crore by the end of day four.

While the numbers may not match the record-breaking opening of Saaiyaarawhich made Rs 20 crore on its first day, Ssktk has performed decently for a mid-budget romantic comedy. The film’s success is being attributed to its light-hearted storyline, catchy music, and strong chemistry between the lead pair.

Facing competition from Kantara: Chapter 1

The film has faced fierce competition from Kantara: Chapter 1, which has already crossed Rs 200 crore at the domestic box office. The Rishab Shetty-directed mythological thriller has dominated screens across India, limiting the number of shows available for Ssktk. Despite this, Shashank’s film has managed to attract family audiences and younger viewers, particularly in metropolitan cities.

As per Box Office India, Sunny sanskari ki tulsi kumari is performing better in urban centres like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru compared to smaller towns. However, analysts believe that to reach bigger box office milestones, the film will need to expand its reach in tier-two and tier-three markets.
