Annavay Dravid, the young son of India’s cricket great Rahul Dravid, has made another great step on the stage of domestic cricket. He became the highest run scorer for Karnataka’s Under-16 team by scoring a total of 459 runs in 8 innings this season. Due to this performance, he was honored at the annual award ceremony of KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association). This is the second consecutive time Anavay has received such an award.
Anavay scored this run in six matches at an average of 91.80. 46 fours and 2 sixes came out of his bat. During this, he also scored two centuries and several half -centuries. Such continuity and aggressive style makes him a contender for this award.
Along with Anavay at the KSCA Award ceremony, Mayank Agarwal and R.K. Players like remembrance have also been respected. Mayank Agarwal was honored for scoring the most runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, while R.K. Smaran was rewarded at his performance in the Ranji Trophy.
Another place, another ladder
With this award, Anavay has shown that he is living not just on the legacy of the name, but is living on his hard work and performance. Award for two consecutive years is an indication that young Dravidies are moving forward with their ability.
His innings can become an inspiration for young players in domestic cricket – it shows that if there is surrender then a big achievement is possible. With such a demonstration, Anavay’s name can be strengthened in a painful journey moving towards senior cricket.
There are still challenges
While this success is very big, now Anavay has to face many challenges:
Age and experience-they are currently at the under-16 level, they have to prove themselves in large matches and pressure circumstances.
Continuing – A good season shows good performance, but continuity leads the player to a big stage.
Selection challenges – political, competitive players and selection committee decisions have to be crossed.
