The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the LOC (List of Candidates) form submission portal for the CBSE Board Exams 2026. Schools that missed the earlier submission window can now complete the process within the extended timeline.
🔹 New Submission Deadlines
-
Without Late Fee: Till 8 October 2025
-
With Late Fee: Till 11 October 2025
CBSE clarified that any school failing to submit the LOC forms within the given timeline will be solely responsible for the consequences. Students from such schools will not be allowed to appear in the 2026 board examinations.
🔹 How to Submit the LOC Form
Schools must upload their students’ details and other required information through the official CBSE website cbse.gov.in before the final deadline.
🔹 CBSE Board Exam 2026 Schedule
CBSE has already released the tentative timetable for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams:
-
Exams Start: 17 February 2026
-
Class 10 Ends: 9 March 2026
-
Class 12 Ends: 9 April 2026
Most exams will be conducted from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while some subjects will have a shorter slot from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
🔹 Number of Students Appearing
Around 45 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams 2026. These include candidates from across India as well as 26 other countries. The exams will cover a total of 204 subjects.
🔹 Key Advisory for Schools
CBSE has urged all schools to submit their LOC forms within the extended window and make use of the late-fee option if required. Failure to complete the process could disqualify students from appearing in the exams.
In short: Schools yet to submit the CBSE LOC forms for 2026 have another chance — complete it by 8 October (or 11 October with late fees) to ensure students’ participation in the upcoming board exams.
