Sharron Davies clashed with a heckler during a debate on gender at the Tory conference. The former Olympic swimmer urged London Assembly member Andrew Boff to "stand up" after he called out during the discussion on the main stage of the gathering in Manchester.
Mr Boff, who was sitting in the front row, insisted the event was "not a debate" and views being presented by the panel were "one sided". But Ms Davies insisted that she would not apologise for standing up for women's and girls' rights.
Ms Davies said: "I heard this gentleman down here and please, you're very welcome to stand up, I have no problem with inclusion.
"However, no trans woman has ever been excluded from sport, they've just been asked to compete where it's fair."
As he continued to shout, she added: "There's not a single piece of peer-reviewed science in the world that says we can remove the biological advantage. Why don't you think women are entitled to fair sport?
"We can't have fair sport if we have males, people that are biologically male, in their sport. So you're taking away fair sport for women and I will never, ever let that happen."
Marion Calder, the director of For Women Scotland, said she would not be "drowned out" by a heckler.
She said: "We're having a conversation with you, sir, in the front row. No, there's not one-sided debate, women are actually talking now and we're not going to be put up by one person, one man, constantly interrupting.
"I will not allow one man to drown out women that are on this panel now."
Mr Boff is deputy chairman of the London Assembly and previously led the Tories in the assembly.
He was kicked out of the Tory conference in 2023 after heckling then-home secretary Suella Braverman during her keynote speech.
