Manchester United bosses have been blown away by Senne Lammens' attitude and start to life at the club. The goalkeeper has received nothing but praise from club figures and has impressed staff after 'often being the last' player to leave the training pitch.
Altay Bayindir had been Ruben Amorim's first-choice keeper for United's opening six Premier League fixtures, but the head coach opted for a shake-up and handed Lammens his debut against Sunderland on Saturday.
The gamble proved successful, as Lammensdelivered a composed maiden outing in the famous red shirt. The Belgium international, who arrived from Royal Antwerp in an £18million summer switch, was only called upon to make three stops but looked authoritative throughout.

He commanded his penalty area with confidence and appeared completely at ease between the posts. The Stretford End faithful even serenaded him with chants of "are you Schmeichel in disguise?"suggesting the supporters have warmed to Lammens remarkably quickly.
With Bayindir recording the poorest save percentage of any Premier League goalkeeper this campaign, Lammens' introduction felt inevitable.
Since his switch from Antwerp, United officials have been delighted with the shot-stopper and believe they made the right call in pursuing the promising talent rather than a more seasoned option such as Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez.

According to the i paper, there's not a single negative comment about Lammens, with insiders revealing he's always the first to arrive and last to leave training. It's reported that Lammens is constantly putting in extra work, whether it's improving his distribution or other aspects of his game.
Lammens' maturity is frequently mentioned, with the young player already having sorted out his own private accommodation and planning to stay at United for the foreseeable future.
If he continues on this trajectory, he could leave as lasting an impression as David De Gea did during his 12-year tenure with the Reds.
After Lammens helped United secure a 2-0 victory against Sunderland, head coach Amorim praised him post-match: "Senne did a great job, gave us confidence. It was a good day, not a perfect day, but to win like this, clean sheet, is important for our team."
Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko netted goals for the Reds, securing a much-needed win ahead of the international break. Amorim added: "Yeah, and a clean sheet is really important.
"We didn't play well during all the game, but we had our moments. But if you look at the performance, it was a team. Focus, defending well, trying to kill the game in the second half. So, I'm pleased with that, and now it's [time] to move forward to the next one."
