The team behind the upcoming biopic on renowned artist Sapna Choudhary has been struck by a deep personal loss with the sudden demise of Sapna Choudhary’s mother. As producer Vinay Bhardwaj and his team were actively developing the script and researching the life of Sapna, her mother had become a central and inspiring figure in the narrative — both on paper and in reality.
Sharing his heartfelt reaction, producer Vinay Bhardwaj said:
“Working on a biopic is always emotional, but when we received the news of Sapna ji’s mother’s passing, it felt like losing someone of our own. She wasn’t just a character in our film — she was the soul behind Sapna’s journey. The kind of strength, resilience, and quiet power she embodied made her a real-life heroine.”
Bhardwaj recalled a moving moment during the early discussions of the film when Sapna’s mother expressed her excitement about the project:
“She had said to me, ‘Main Sapna ki film ki heroine hoon… Pehla show main aur Sapna akele dekhenge, poora hall book karwa ke.’ At that time, it was a joyful, innocent wish — but today, that sentence echoes in my ears as an unfulfilled dream.”
The producer added that this personal loss has deeply affected the team:
“It has made us realise how tough it is to truly walk in the shoes of someone whose life you’re recreating on screen. We are not just telling a star’s story — we are bringing to life the world and people who shaped her. Sapna ji’s mother was one such pillar. Though we couldn’t fulfil her wish of watching the film with Sapna ji, we promise to honour her memory forever. Through our film, she will live on — as a warrior mother who shaped a legend.”
The film, currently in the scripting and research stage, will now serve as a more personal tribute — not only to Sapna Choudhary’s inspiring journey but also to the woman who stood by her through every struggle and success.
