The ' 80s Stars Reunion ', held at the residence of actor Rajkumar Sethupathi and Sripriya in Neelankarai , Chennai, once again turned into a grand event this year. The event, which was suspended last year due to heavy rains, took place with great fanfare this time. With 31 celebrities from the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi film industries in attendance, it attracted a lot of attention from the fans. This annual gathering, in the style of school and college friends meeting, was a moment to express the friendship and affection between the stars.
Viral video showcases laughter and nostalgia
As soon as the video of the reunion was shared on social media, it received a huge response. Meena, Bhagyaraj, Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff , Prabhu, Radha, Poornima, Nadia, Revathi, Ramya Krishnan, and many others attended. This video, filled with laughter and old memories, was hailed by fans as "the best testament to on-screen friendship."
Balakrishna’s absence sparks fan curiosity
However, the absence of some key stars has drawn attention. In particular, Balakrishna, who used to be a regular participant in the past, has gone missing in recent years, raising questions among fans. Although it was said that he was currently busy shooting for ' Akhanda 2 ' and Gopichand Malineni 's directorial debut and could not attend, questions arose on social media, "Was he not invited? Or was he busy?" However, this debate did not gain much importance in the celebratory atmosphere of the event.
Rajinikanth skips due to spiritual journey
Similarly, Rajinikanth also did not participate in the reunion this year. But that did not leave room for discussion because he was on a spiritual journey in the Himalayas. Since he usually travels to the Himalayas before his film releases, this was taken as a natural choice. Thus, while the disappearance of Balakrishna and Rajinikanth was the topic of conversation, the focus of the event was the reunion of the stars, the love, friendship, and joyous celebrations they shared.
